Fall - 2008
We must change the way in which Conservative voices challenge the liberal left. We desparately need Rush Limbaugh, Michael Medved, Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck, Michael Savage, etc., to start playing hard ball. Preaching to the conservative choir with passive positive rhetoric is failing.
The Conservative Right needs to become ACTIVE. That means the current leaders need to become MORE ACTIVE. We don't necessarily need more conservative voices, we need the ones we have to become ACTIVIST.

DEC 2008 - TILA Mortgage Advertisement
So today we have a local Mortgage Company called TILA (with a jingle that sings 'with a T and an I and a L and an A). They announce with great excitement the latest drop in prime rates, that can't be passed up naturally, and with it they bundle a giveaway - a weekend excursion to Canada.
Who owns TILA Mortgage? Seems to me given the current financial crisis that an American Mortgage company would probably consider an American destination so as to avoid siphoning off American cash. Nothing against Canada mind you, but times look real tough right now and one would hope that we would work a little harder to take care of ourselves? Or perhaps TILA is a Canadian based corporation, or has Canadian connections? I admit I have not researched this yet.
I suppose that Canada is suffering the global financial melt down too - if we cut them off, maybe they cut us off, so who wins? I am inclined to think right now that America is facing a larger problem than Canada and if we don't fix our financial problems and put our banks in order, it will become Canada's problem in the end. With that in mind I suggest TILA should consider an American destination.
This leads in to another topic - how much of America is owned by foreign interests and what does it mean to America?
Meantime it will be interesting to see where TILA will go with this. I shot off an email today. I am not holding my breath.
